Meetings and Events
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month, commencing at 7.30pm, Bible Chapel Hall, (45 High Street, Sheffield). In May, June and July the meetings are held at 2pm on the Saturday after the second Thursday. During the summer months we often visit a member's garden prior to the regular meeting, or hold the meeting at a different venue. Where possible we try to source a speaker for each meeting, to share information or experiences and inspire our members. A light supper is provided at the end of the meeting. For more details about forthcoming meetings please click here to visit our calendar which is updated regularly.
In addition to the regular meetings, we often organise trips to visit other gardens and places of interest on a regular basis. A weekend trip away is organised once or twice a year. Trips in the past 12 months have included a weekend in Hobart visiting private gardens, the Botanical Garden and historic Runnymede House. Day trips have been taken to gardens in the East Devonport area, and the north west coast.
We hold an Open Garden weekend in late November and also early in the year known as GardenFEST. Usually featuring a number of our member's stunning gardens, GardenFEST weekend is an opportunity to visit, admire and be inspired by what they have achieved.
Details of any future special events and trips are available on our calendar of events.
